Through the overseas volunteer education program by Korea National University of Education, which ran from January 17 to February 13, Suwon FC delivered football supplies to 1,319 elementary, middle, and high school students in Rwanda, one of the world’s poorest countries.

This donation ceremony was prepared to commemorate Suwon FC’s meaningful sharing. Choi Soon-ho, Suwon FC general manager, and Jung Gu-in, vice president of Korea National University of Education who led the volunteer team, attended.

A gratitude video letter from Rwandan youth to Suwon FC was introduced through the stadium’s electronic scoreboard. The video captured Rwandan students wearing Suwon FC uniforms shouting, “Thank you, Suwon FC!” and dancing.

Suwon FC stated, “Through this donation, we aimed to practice the social value of ’international sharing and educational cooperation through football’ beyond mere material support. The club plans to continue social contribution activities targeting youth both overseas and domestically in the future.”

General Manager Choi said, “Seeing the bright smiles of the Rwandan children, I once again felt the true power of football,” adding, “Suwon FC will strive to be a club that shares the positive energy of sports in the future.”
