“Imma come here one day for like a week just for a vacation.” Rwanda marks his eighth country on his ongoing 28-day, multi-country African tour dubbed Speed Does Africa. The popular YouTuber touched down in the East African nation on Saturday, January 10, 2026, and immediately kicked off a series of high-energy activities livestreamed to his millions of followers around the world.
During his first hours, Speed did push-ups with a short-statured man who claimed to be a mini version of him, a moment that quickly amused fans watching the stream.
He also took time to learn a few local Rwandese words, drawing cheers from people gathered around him in the streets.
One of the highlights of the day was a visit to Amahoro Stadium, Rwanda’s largest stadium, where the streamer marvelled at its size and modern layout. At several moments, he could be heard expressing surprise at how big the venue was compared to what he had expected.
Speed later linked up with some of Rwanda’s top NBA Africa–affiliated basketball players, streaming live as they attempted stunts, practised different dunking styles and showed off their athletic skills. In one segment, Speed raced one of the players on the basketball court, leaving hundreds to flock inside to witness the contest.
As he moved through Kigali, the streamer was also gifted a cake featuring a carved portrait of his face, leaving him visibly impressed and appreciative.
