GHANA - RWANDA: Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana Visits Rwanda
From the 18 to 21 July 2022, Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin is in Rwanda for a study visit to the Parliament.

Rt. Hon. Donatille Mukabalisa held talks with Rt. Hon. Alban S. K. Bagbin and his delegation, and they shared experiences and best practices of both Parliaments with regard to the functioning and responsibilities of the Parliament of Rwanda and the Parliament of Ghana.

Rt. Hon. Alban S. K. Bagbin showcased that they have learnt more from various capital areas of the Parliament functioning, stating, « We definitely try to imbibe some practices that you are doing here, particularly with great emphasis on gender issues. »

« We shared experiences on the functioning of both parliaments, and how we discharge our duties. We are delighted to have learned from each other. » On the other hand, Speaker Mukabalisa Donatille said.

The delegation of the Parliament of Ghana visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial and paid respects to victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi.

The Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana and his delegation are expected to learn about Rwanda’s Governance processes and state finances and sign a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral parliamentary cooperation between the Parliament of Ghana and the Chamber of Deputies, among others.
