Rwanda and Namibia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for knowledge sharing programs. The knowledge sharing programs started between Rwanda Transport Development Agency(RTDA) and Namibia Road Authority (NRA) where RTDA experts are provided various trainings on road maintenance technologies.

Namibia’s road infrastructure has been ranked the best in Africa for the fourth consecutive year according to the World Economic Forum’s Quality of Road Infrastructure Report for 2019.

In 2018, the two countries also signed a Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) to promote trade, boost tourism and hospitality industry in the region.

The officials emphasised on moving to the next chapter of opening skies for the National carriers, where RwandAir is expected to extend its operations to Namibia and vice-versa.
